PETERBOROUGH, Ontario -- Lindsay Broadband Inc., a leading manufacturer and global provider of RF distribution products for the CATV and wired communication industries, announced today the newest addition to their diverse line of communication products, the MoCA Series Low Pass Point of Entry Filter

With the growing demand of the next-generation cable customer installing services such as download on-demand, digital video recording, and in-home video and data sharing, MoCA (Media over Coaxial Alliance) compatible network components are required. Lindsay now delivers convenient low cost Point of Entry Filters to maintain system integrity.

The LBMLPF POE Filter is used at the subscriber entry to prevent interference to and from neighboring MoCA installations. Adjacent subscribers with independently operating MoCA systems will be isolated from each other by 100dB minimum when the filter is installed at each drop.

The filter is also designed to reflect in the MoCA band, allowing it to aid in the throughput of the MoCA signal on the subscriber side of the installation. The high isolation combined with minimum loss in the HFC band makes the LBMLPF in line filter an excellent choice for quality installs employing MoCA.

A CSP's digital transformation involves so much more than technology. Crucial – and often most challenging – is the cultural transformation that goes along with it. As Sigma's Chief Technology Officer, Catherine Michel has extensive experience with technology as she leads the company's entire product portfolio and strategy. But she's also no stranger to merging technology and culture, having taken a company — Tribold — from inception to acquisition (by Sigma in 2013), and she continues to advise service providers on how to drive their own transformations. This impressive female leader and vocal advocate for other women in the industry will join Women in Comms for a live radio show to discuss all things digital transformation, including the cultural transformation that goes along with it.
